Thursday (Half Day) + Cross Country (Friday)

Thursday:
Thursday was half day. Had 2 lessons though...
After the 2 lessons, we were supposed to have Biology Remedial but due to unforseen circumstances, Mrs Pang (form teacher) had a little talk with us concerning admin matters...which practically killed any chance of having the Bio Rem that day as the teachers had to leave the school at 11pm for their Luncheon as a whole faculty.

Went with Shawn, Timothy, Li Yuan, Qing Yang, Victor, Andy and Joshua Ling to watch the movie, Protege. We went to J8 to watch letters from Iwo Jima but it was not screening there, so we decided to go plaza sing to try and catch it. We went to eat at KFC first...
The Bishan Gay was there...lol...and Timothy went to say "hi" to him...The Bishan gay has a creepy smile...and is a creepy guy... o.o (He can sit there the whole day looking at people)

Anyways, we took the MRT but when we reached there, it was already sold out so we went to watch Protege. It is not a bad show, related to drugs. It talks about the harmfulness of drugs subconciously and the storyline is an undercover cop learning the ropes of how and what they do in the drug business. There are some gruesome scenes of the lady who is a victim of heroin using the drug and horrible side effects ensue thereafter. She died in the end...

Storyline could be much better but overall quite good. Went back to school to play a lil table tennis and went home after that.

Friday:
Friday was cross country day, a school event. Woke up at 5.30 to wash up before walking to Jason's house which is opp St Nick Girls school to hitch a ride from his dad to Turf City where the Cross Country was to be held at.

Our school grouped us into 4 houses, since sec1. Noel, Philippe, Joseph and Edward.
The Competitive Races took part first.
Philippe house won most of them.
Next, it was each house's cheers which I'm not so sure of who won...but all were bad...as not everyone was giving it their all, not shouting with conviction. It was simply pathetic.

Mass Run was the deciding factor in the Cross Country as Noel House (my house) won Overall in the end.
I managed to run the 3.2km in "17 mins and 51 seconds". :D
Could have been better if I didn't stop twice...cause of stitch...but I'm still very happy with the timing.

Yup, thats all for these few days...

Sleep and Dinner

Wow, made up for my lack of sleep this whole week by sleeping for 12 and a half hours yesterday. Felt really good...and super energetic after that. Was abit disappointed that there was no Youth in church today...cause I had nothing on for the whole day...

Had dinner with family at 6.15pm near our house. Dinner was alright, had a little conversing with one another...photo taking...(your usual get togethers...)
Anyways...today is Chinese New Year. A time of collecting money...lol

Found out recently that my brother's wife is pregnant. :) cool....
Really alot of funny things that a woman has to go through during this period...
For example; the type of food and the quantity she eats....can really be a drastic change from their usual appetite. It really emphasizes the fact that women sacrifice the most during childbirth...
It makes me want to applaud and admire my mom for giving birth to me...(It's definitely not easy as portrayed in television serials)

Anyways, just wanna wish all those who are reading/ not reading this entry...a Happy Chinese New Year!
Yup...
Bye

E-learning Journey + CNY celebrations

E-learning journey:

Wednesday was the day we went for E-learning journey. Our destination was Singapore Discovery Centre. All in all, it was not too boring yet was not that eye-catching either. Watched some movie on fighter pilots. Then, we took a bus and took in some sights of SAFTI. After which, we had free time to explore SDC. They had some lame and funny games inside. The one that was the most ridiculous was the robot named "Little George". Auto replies and the replies can be so outrageous that its hilarious. Or maybe we were tickled pink to see the naive questions that the little primary kids were bomblasting it with.

Had lunch at the SAFTI cookhouse. Not too shabby but it was good enough...Tedmond was being greedy and ate 3 puddings in one mouthful each. LOL...
After lunch, we went back to SDC and while others had guided tours, our class were playing diety, chinese chess. lol...it seems that recently, my class has been on a "old school kick" playing digimon device, chinese chess....really cool in a retro kinda way.

Had band after that. Realised that the plastic reed has its limitations...-_-....( Can't play loud enough...much softer than the wooden reed ) Therefore, I'm going back to the traditional way of playing the clarinet.

CNY celebrations:

Had two periods of lesson before recess and the actual celebration in the school hall. Quite redundant if you ask me...(why not just celebrate it straight away?) LOL...
The performances were ok...some just FUNNY, ridiculous and just plain stupid. Rao was acting as some father of two students with Ms Long as the wife..
Laughter ensued as endearing terms were used to address one another....It just seems so wrong...lol...cause half the school or maybe the whole school knows or thinks that Rao is gay/acts gay.

Dismissed at 12.30pm. Alas, I could not celebrate it at home but had to go for Band, again. Mr Heng took us instead of Miss Tan. Was for the best anyways...since everyone does not exactly quite like Miss Tan anymore...she has been complaining alot...but we see her do very little to conduct us and doing the wrong things at the wrong time. It's irritatingly frustrating!
What's the point of being a conductor when you don't want to conduct the band. In fact, the connection has to be between the band and the conductor...however, I feel that this connection is far from being achieved if this continues on.

Mr Heng worked on our Air Support and Articulation. Very productive practice I might say, as I reflect on our improvement today. I think Mr Heng can do a better job than Miss Tan at this very moment. Was Super Tired during combined....but managed to pull through it... :)

Yay! Tomorrow is Saturday, the eve of CNY. GREAT JOY as I am able to rest at last...
Thats all for recent events...Bye

Tired...

Been pretty drained recently. The hectic schedule I have planned for the year as I take my O levels this year. The teachers have been scrutinising our work and piling the load on us...its seriously very stressing and tiring as well. At the end of everyday, I feel burned out completely...yet I have to get ready for school tomorrow.

Not easy...not easy....
I finally understood why Mr Heng said last year that you have to be superman. You have to burn midnight oil, complete homework, do revision, go for cca. And yet, you have to look like you are not tired...a matter of mind over matter. Having prelim 1 just after CNY...anti-climatic....from Joy to Anxiety and then to Relief.

SYF practise at Singapore Conference Hall today at 8pm-9pm+.... Pretty short...since the whole hall has been booked completely till the SYF day itself. A sign of the typical KIASU singaporeans. I just love the weekends now...1 and a half day to unwind from the troubles of schoolwork and just be in the presence of God....

I need you GOD....
I need to be more Committed...
I need to be more Focused...
I need to Procrastinate less...
Renew me O god each new day...
God help me please...
I just wanna give all my troubles and worries to you lord... :)
More of you and less of me each day lord...
as you guide and protect us each day....
just know that...we love you Lord....
