New year 2009! (5/1/2009)
Amidst the masses at Orchard Road that Christmas, we chose to retreat to Bill's house (ex-youth leader). I didn't get to be under his tutelage though...cause my dad left the church to help the current pastor back then, Pastor Randy to do admin stuff at Faith Chapel...cause Pastor had some disagreement with the board members of having another service at the other church. Was a great session though as I caught up alot with people who WERE from my current church + those who are no longer attending/seldom seen. Spent almost the whole day at his house as lunch was provided and the conversations struck up took up alot of time. We shared how we have been recently and what we wanted to achieve in year 2009. Some aspirations were quite inspiring and others were insightful.
Then there was the Watchnight service on the 31st december where we just worshipped God in church with us singing songs and giving testimonies by various people that glorified God. We counted down away from the masses, which was a good thing in my opinion...lol (Don't really like crowded areas). Then Estherlim, Ivy, Ivin, Enoch, Ivan, Thomas and I went to Ken's house to play with whistling sparklers at a nearby playground. We also took turns to sit in the spinning thing and got all dizzy and stuff. We reminisced our childhoods as well as we played catching and "freeze and melt" lol. It was like 2/3am+ by then. We went back to Ken's house at around 4+/5 and we just knocked out after hearing Ken play some tunes on the guitar and the keyboard. Woke up the next day at around 10+. Had lunch courtesy of Uncle Chris, great cook, haha. We ate Hokkien Mee. Was a long day for me as I left for home after Ken,Estherlim,Ivy and Ivin went to Changi Airport and Ivan went home. After going home to shower, I left again to go East Coast to cycle...lol
Was overall a pretty good day with us eating dinner at Beach Road, where Mr Kam, my math teacher stays. Took the bus 13 home with Qiaolin.
It's a new year! and it's gonna be A's in a couple of months ++
Hope this year will be better than last year and hopefully I will have some breakthroughs as well . :)
Another year older as well...soon i'll be 20...haha
