No CCA + Cell YAY!

Today had no CCAs in the wake of the exams coming. Ended school about 2.30pm and went home to get ready for cell. At 4.30pm showered, changed and set off. Not so sure of how to go to Rachel's house, I tried calling Rachel 3 times...Qiaolin 2 times and Vanessa a few times. Rachel replied me later but Qiaolin's phone was off. Met Vanessa, Zenn and Nicholas at Woodlands MRT control station. We went to the Interchange at around 5.45pm and waited...and waited...till 6pm for the Bus to arrive.

Long ride...about 45mins...-_-...One big round to get there...:(
Anyhoo...we got reached there around 7pm. We waited awhile more fore XiangTing to arrive so that the Dinner could commence and official start cell. Unagi with Rice! haha...not bad...but felt that it was sort of too little?

Sang songs, did deutoronomy and some of us talked about our week...shared some testimonies..
All in all...a hectic day of school...but spiritual feeding through the word I guess...cause it's been a long time since I managed to go cell...

Qiaolin sent me Home via her dad's car whilst the others took bus. Van, Zenn and Nick should have come with us...it really only took 15mins to reach my house :) Reached home at 9.15-9.30pm
Well...thats about it for today...Bye!

Saturday and Sunday!

On Saturday, went to school for Biology Class. We did Essay Question practice from Five Year Series. After Bio, went with Jason, Daryl, GuoTai, Andy and Zhiyang to J8 to eat breakfast at KFC. After Breakfast, went with GuoTai to his maths tuition centre to revise and do maths. Took the MRT which was about a 40min ride to Bukit Batok. Reached there around 11.30am, practised maths till 2.30pm. Before I left, saw my school/band friend Eric there...what a coincidence!
Took MRT again, but this time the east west line to go church.

On the bus, met Vanessa who was wearing the orange soccer jersey with the name Van behind. Anyways...EG was ok, had dinner in church...( Marcaroni and jelly ) Yay! Healthy haha...
Andy fetched Samuel, Qiaolin, Vanessa, Zenn, Nicholas and Me in the car. We had to "Squeeze" alot haha...almost got squashed in there. Dropped of Samuel first, I went to the front and Andy drove back to Bishan where he resided and Van, Zenn, Nick and Me took the MRT the rest of the way home... ( took a long time in total )

Today, went to church early to prepare for bible study (gear 1). Finished the chapter about 9.30am, made my way to Great World City to meet Jeremy there. Saw Nicholas and Alex there as well. Ate breakfast at Macdonalds and had gear there. Quickly made our way back to church and were a tad bit late. Sermon was on how to be the best whoever you are...and had CE class afterwards.

Lunch at the Kopitiam because some had to go back for the Band meeting which started at 2pm. Went back to church as well to " see-see" and did chapter 7 of the gear book. Then they ended around 4pm...zzz (long!)

Anyways...thats about it...bye

Tokyo Kosei Intermediate Clarinet Course!

I went back to school yesterday for Band practice. Started at 9am and was supposed to end at 5pm. We first warmed up then we had combined all the way with Miss Tan from 10+ until 11.30 when we went out to have lunch. Came back at 12.20pm and went Primary School Music Room to watch a video on " American Elergy ". It made us understand what the composer wanted to express through the piece after watching and it was about one hour.

Mr Heng then took the Clarinet section while Mr They took the Trumpets and Miss Tan took the rest. By then, I had to leave with Michael, DongLum and Ingmar to go Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) for the course.

Reached there at around 2.20pm, showned the place where we would be having our respective courses for each instrument and waited for the Teacher. We waited until 3+ then he came. We were taught by Tokyo Kosei's Principal Player "Hitoshi Sekiguci". He was playing the clarinet so effortlessly...even when it was running notes...(then again...he has been the Principal Player for so many years...he even has his own cd! haha)

It was mostly basics...and the daily training were things I have heard before from seniors...but it's good to go back to basics.

1) Long Tone--> Yup...long tone may be boring but it helps to shape the tone

2) Register Key exercises--> Relaxed embouchure and nice tone for the higher notes

3) Scales--> There are 12 scales and each one are important

Took the MRT to church after the course. It ended around 6+. Took the East-West line to City Hall then changed train to Orchard. Reached there around 7.20pm. Enjoyed the music they were rehearsing for Saturday's Youth Service. After that, went with Ziyao and Patrick to meet Wan Er , Elysia and YuPo for dinner. At first, they wanted to go Cineleisure to eat, however it was raining quite heavily so we decided to eat opposite Cine instead at Burger King.

Went back home via MRT again...While walking home, helped some guy exit the screen of messaging so that he could call. When I reached home, it was nearly 11 already.
Thats all for today...bye

Steve Irwin Died from a stingray attack! + Sec1 in my school died cause of heart problems!

These are some screenshots of my friends in msn having the turtle in their display pic in remberance of Steve Irwin who died in a Stingray attack. He died doing something he was passionate about, how many people these days love their job the way he does? Makes people wonder if they are doing what they love...

Another point would be how fragile life is. One Secondary 1 student (A student) in my school died while playing basketball with his friends because of heart problems on the 1st of September...damn...not a pretty sight! This also proves that HEALTH does come first! Do NOT neglect it!

However, hope that they are in a better place now with God...
Life is fragile...give it to GOD! :D

Thats about it for today...bye
