Sports Nite + (a little) SYF prep update

Had Sports Night on the 23th March. Really hectic day...
Went to school as usual for morning band practice at 7am. En Hao was giving the devotion that morning on behalf of the band. Haha...some parts of it were quite funny...as we overheard it over the P.A system.
School ended at 12pm but as always, being sec4's this year, there are bounds to be little interruptions. Mr Heng came in and gave us the retest for the Vocab test as many had failed the last one...or rather did not do up to expectation. Did quite well for the previous one..:P (42/50)
But got (28/30) for this one due to carelessness ...o.o
Our teacher got high expectations..haha...
Had band practice from 1pm to 3pm before we had to assemble at 3.30pm for the House Cheering session just before the Sports Nite commenced.
Kanna painted by the Noel House teachers. They painted a circle with a N in it and the side view of the trojan soldier. But the cheers as usual...were kinda lame. haha
Haha...made some jokes about being green lanterns as we even had to wear D.I.Y props that further eccentuated the already green shirt.
That however, was not the final event we had. As our SYF is on the 10th of April, at 8am, we decided to have a sleepover in school and wake up at 3.30am the next day...with a run through simulation of what would happen that day. Went for a early morning walk around the school in the darkness...and ate breakfast while trying to watch the sunrise...which apparently never came...cause u can never see sunrise in the city...u have to go to a beach.
We were super tired and drained as everyone was falling asleep and desperately forcing their eyes open. After awhile, we reverted back to normal, shaking off downy sleep and renewing ourselves in the ardous task of persevering and rehearsing the two pieces until 12pm.
Went for lunch after that with yi yong, il shan. J8 was having some stupid and hilarious event called "high def" tv which showcased wannabes ranging from young to very old...at their attempt to gain fame...Some of the acts were just plain stupid, mediocre and some were like...LOL
Gave us quite the amusement we needed after the strenous day we had. Went home to rest awhile before going to church. Nic's friend Meiling and Beng yee came today...Chris's son, Ken also came. Bernard took us for EG. Haha...went for dinner after that at Zion Riverside Foodcentre. Then went home with Van, Nic, Meiling and Beng yee via MRT. Joked around abit in the MRT and had some laughs...
Yup, thats all I have to blog about
Bye :)

Recent Discussions + 8/3/07 Endeavors

Recently, been talking to Joshua Ling after tests while revising. Or rather on wednesday, while revising for Chemistry. Life...It's just such a funny thing, a paradox, if i might add. U start out as a naive, innocent child with big dreams that are not deemed impossible. As u grow older, reality sets in and u get disappointed because u are faced with set backs that hinder u from reaching that dream or target. When people are young, they tend to want to grow up faster. Yet, when they are old and in their prime, they wished that they were in their youth again. Such Irony...haha
Talking about religion and stuff...traits, etc...Quite an interesting and sparse view is what we have garnered from these discussions. It's just a struggle in Life, to balance GOD and worldly things. It is not easy...
Recently, super tired from being in the midst of Prelims 1. (My school has 3 prelims) o.O
Can't wait for it to be over, but yet, after that, I still have to prepare for SYF. Argh...it's like a never ending vicious cycle of events that are co-currently taking place one after the other. No time to rest, but one has to press on ahead, through this fiery trial, coming out of it a much better and holistic person. Really need GOD to guide me in times such as these. Just want to thank everyone for their encouragement and GOD for being there for me.
Just wanna wish that everyone will get good results for Prelim 1. Come, run, leap, shout, cry and celebrate with me, as we run this ardous journey of faith onward to the end of this year. Persevere and strive on!

8/3/07:
Yesterday was not bad, Chemistry was quite good. The revision really helped alot. :)
Played table tennis with Phelan, Jie Jing, Clinton, Yang Qin. It's been a while since I did something with Phelan. Felt good lah...cause we had a little misunderstanding in Sec 1/2. Although it was cleared up...still felt a little awkward. But today, really lifted my mood for a period of time before we had to buckle down and start revising.

Had Bio Remedial. Then had Maths tuition after the remedial. Revised Sec4 A.maths topics. I think I can handle the paper now...:P
Well...thats all for now...
Bye :)
