End of Holidays 27/6/08

Gotten over the disappointment of not going church camp by now. :)

Mid year Exams are over too! :D
Results should be out soon....(Maths sure die)

Been playing quite alot of basketball too :)

Project work has not been settled yet though...+ some A level chinese stuff coming up...
But still can relax abit :).......then chiong again :S

Saturday 7th June 08

Today was a good day. Managed to talk quite alot to Nicholas at church. Then went for dinner at Riverside as a big group. We ate Char-Kway-teow and ate dessert. I ate cheng tng and Nicholas ate Ice Kachang (his trademark) haha...

Then, we accompanied Esther, Jolene and Michelle to Great World City to buy Ice cream and shop for snacks at Cold Storage. Thomas, Nicholas and I went to look at some sports shoes first before going to find them at Cold Storage. They bought a few snacks while Nicholas and I went out of Cold Storage to wait for them. Two strangers from the U.S called Blake and Jacky tapped us on the shoulder and asked if we wanted to eat ice cream. We sort of replied "anything" and next thing you know...we were at the Island Creamery store ordering two cones of "Cookies and Cream". It was their treat and we were quite perplexed and surprised...haha

On the down side, my dad found out that I paid up for church camp and doesn't approve. Sian....
Hmm...it would be a good point to think about....

If GOD said that he was a jealous god, and that he should come first in our lives, we should put him as 1st priority right?

But he also said to honour your mother and father, which would mean obeying them.

However, that would go against the former, of putting GOD as 1st priority.

Is studies so important that we MUST FORSAKE going to church camp to hear the word of GOD from a speaker? I want to go, but I cannot guarantee you that I will do well because I do not want to make EMPTY PROMISES to you...

I dunno...
I'm just saddened by this...

Decision, decision, decision

In our daily lives, we all have to make decisions, and sometimes we can have a myriad of possibilities to choose from and that can really be a headache or a chore. But, at the end of it, one still has to come to a conclusion and choose. It may not be easy, and you may have to forgo somethings, but you may gain others when you do make a choice. We are only human, faultable, inconsiderate and reckless, maybe sometimes, eager to please everyone. But time is limited and you can't be everywhere at the same time...

I've learned that I have to learn how to say "No" sometimes and keep my earlier fixed appointments as it is the lesser of the two evils or the right way to do things. Thus, I hope that I can learn from this...and...become a better person.
