Doulous + P1 Orientation + Happy Feet Gala Premiere at VivoCity

Twas the 17th of November, a date with a ship called the Doulos that night. Took a cab down to VivoCity from school and met with Nicholas and Ivan. Jeremy, Jialing, Bernard, Weston, Daniel, Ruth went there as well. Hmm...we started with Worship which I felt was good. Worship is like the essence which puts your mood and mind in the right place. Hmmm...had some faulty technicalities with the power system...but wondered if it was pre-arranged...Skits and Videos were put up as well. The sermon was preached by someone from Germany. Hmm..the message was on Missions and spreading the Gospel...(we seem to have a lot of that recently yea?)

The next day, dragged myself out of bed to go to school to help Miss Tan sell Popcorn so as to raise funds for the people going to Chicago. Went to school at 8am, set up the popcorn machine and started popping. Got of to a real slow start...not much business but kept making in advance. It was only near the Afternoon that things started picking up. Hmm...saw Hang Biren and her son...lol! She is quite tall...had red hair... They bought popcorn from our stall. :)
Went for tuition after that...and then church. EG that day and went to makan at Botanic Garden. Had some funny dinner as Ivan and I were fighting over whether I was straight...lol..but yea...it was just a friendly one.

21st November, sister's company was invited to go for the Gala Premiere of Happy Feet at the Grand Opening of VivoCity's GV. Was crowded...saw Jack Neo, Jaime Teo, Glenn Ong. They had a cocktail reception and food served there. Sushi...etc but me and sister had already eaten at the foodcourt before going there. Went into the Respective Cinemas at 8pm. The goody bags were already on the seat. What was in it was...a bag of Popcorn, Water bottle, Movie Junkie Guide and a soft toy of Mumbles, the main character in the show.

The show was quite hilarious and we had fun. At the end, people were quite kiasu and they quickly went and kope the extra soft toys in the front row as there were empty seats...-_-...(singaporeans....) O well...got band tomorrow....and NAFA konzert at night...another long day ahead of me...

Popcorn selling...+Soccer!

Yesterday, was quite a fun day...cept for the part where I had to wake up to an sms by Ms Tan, my band conductor...she wanted us to clean the popcorn machine at 9.30am. However, when I woke up...it was already 9.30! And furthermore...the sms was sent to me at 6am...when I was still sleeping! Talk about last minute...-_-

Called Leon, En Hao and Benjamin. En Hao, now our drum major, but was in the entreprise department with me and leon was going to school as well...but they had a meeting with Mr Heng. So, Leon came down and helped. Soon, Il Shan, Justin and Benjamin were down as well to help. It seems that the primary school were having a cca showcase that day...as it was quite conjested at the canteen area. We set up the Popcorn stall using the powerpoint of the water cooler...LOL...cause the rest were taken up. We got off quite slow as we scrambled to start cooking the popcorn as a crowd of primary kids surrounded the machine and bombarded us with questions like..."How much?" or "Why take so long?" when we havent even started cooking yet! OMG lol...they should be more observant...

Finally got it going and soon, we were making a profit lah...At the end of the thing...we earned $71. After deducting the possibilities of the cost...we made like $60 in about 1 and a half hours...(not bad lah) but tiring...haha. Then we ate lunch and went for Band Practice.

We had combined until 3pm. Then we had tutorial with Mr Vincent Goh from 3-5pm. Mr Goh is from the SSO :) He recently became our Tutor for the Clarinet section...and he's GOOD. He also has a son in Cat High haha...but his son is not in band. :(

Mr Heng combined us at 5pm-6pm. At 6pm, we played soccer after band. My team was, "Me, Yuesheng, Yunsong, Shawn, Aaron, Weiheng". The other team was, "Timothy, Ingmar, Clinton, En Hao, Leon, Chuen Chin, Melvin". I had to go settle claiming of money for reeds with Miss Wong first. When I came back, the other team equalised and we were at 1-1. They scored another and we were down 1-2.

However, we were soon back as I equalised due to carelessness of passing between Leon and Chuen Chin and I had a easy tap in. Yunsong had to go by now and we were now at a disadvantage. The opposing team soon scored again. We were down 2-3. After that, I changed with aaron and became the goalee. As luck would have it, I scored from a goalkick and it counted....so we were now 3-3. They scored and weiheng scored. 4-4!

They scored again and that seemed to be the winner as it was already very dark. It was night time by then. However, we refused to sucumb to the scoreline and perservered. I equalised with another goalkick and the score was 5-5...everybody was nervous...tired...hard of seeing haha...but we still continued.

Last gasp opportunity. I switched with Weiheng to become defender and took the goalkick. It swerved from my right to the left and drifted in to the goal! WHEEE we won 6-5 at the eleventh hour! LOL...

That wrapped up the day...but it was really a team effort! The opposing team gave us a great game as well...Thats one of the reason I enjoy band...Music and Bonding! It's just great! :D

Birthday! Open House! Class Outing!

Celebrated my birthday last tuesday. Birthday was on the thursday. Spent thursday in school...preparing for open house. Got a new phone though...money and messages from people haha. YAY! Open house was ok lah...few people...turned out more to be a practise session and exposure for sec1s? yea...

Had a class outing last friday. No school that day! :) Went to Pasir Ris Park with classmates. Went there super early...and no one was there. Met up with Victor, Qingyang, Teow Kwang, Yinghao, Jing jie and Marcus at Pasir Ris. Then we took the bus to the park. More people were there at this time. Damn...i went too early haha.

First of all...we played a little of soccer. Then, we went to play around with the playgrounds haha..and Basketball later with outsiders. Almost had a fight...Zhiyong and some other guy were abit bui song...haha! Where is the love?
Secondly...some of them rented the bikes and we took turns to ride it cause it cost $10 for 4 hours....quite ex lah. Then we soon started the BBQ preperations at around 4+. Hard to get a fire going...it was more like a lil flame. Anyways...as it grew dark...it was still frustratingly to no avail...the meat couldnt get cooked properly and people were hungry. Drinks...were sufficient.

Some of them played with the lighter by burning it! The flame was quite big...hahaha. They played with sparklers also. We also sat down and played rounds of Murderer. Quite a fun filled day. Went home with Jason at around 11pm via means of Taxi. Reached home nearly 11.30pm. :)
