Retainers...+ Teacher's day!

Today went and got my retainers...not very comfortable...-_-
Said to give it 3 days to get used to it...wearing it at all times cept when eating and brushing...
(Extra thing to brush and keep clean now...)

Tomorrow no lesson! Yay! haha..celebrating teacher's day and aces day. Hope it will be fun...and hope that all the teachers will be happy tomorrow yea? (cause no lessons, means no need to teach us, a day off and a day where we dedicate our appreciation to them) They have worked hard and they deserve it all and more.

Braces gone and more bio fun!

Today, Biology lesson was interesting and freaky again...Miss Saras told us that if the Aorta was pierced...and damaged...blood would spill and the person would bleed from the eyes, ears, nose etc...!!! GRUESOME!

Well, left one period before end of school for dental appointment at the NDC. Today I took off my braces. Went there at 3pm..waited for like 1hr then it was my turn to go in...-_-
The doctor took out the four supporting corners at the sides. Then, he cleaned the mouth abit and took the mould for the retainers. Then went for the x-ray on the 6th and 2nd floor...the payment for the retainers were $480 and $129 for the x-ray....o.o
The appointment ended at 5.00pm...

Went home via MRT with mom...(took one hour)
So...now I'm without braces...(feels funny since I have been wearing it for about 3 years now...) yea...thats about it for today...Bye

Biology "Fun", Chemistry rem and after band cleaning

Today during Biology lesson...Miss Saras taught us something O.O
She say the Capillary in the eye turns red because of the stress of staying open till late in the night or morning...and if it permanently stays red...u have to go op and remove the dead cells! LOL...freaky....

Then she also said one of the Sec4 in the class she was teaching cut his hand's tendon and then had to go hospital...-_-....because he was supposed to cut the carrot while it was lying down...but then he put it upright and cut himself...(haha...lesson to be taken here...BE CAREFUL! and follow INSTRUCTIONS... :P)

Well...after school, had Chemistry remedial at 3-4pm. Went through a mole worksheet....then went for band...Damn the band sounds like shit and can't play crap now..-_-
After band, the QM, Library and Image department stayed back to clean and tidy up the band storeroom for awhile...so yeah...it's looking much spacious and neater now...( the 1st milestone! :D)

Hmm...gonna take off my braces tomorrow..., then go back next wednesday for the retainers.

Film called "Choices" and Phebe's going back to Study!

On saturday, 19th of August, the Youth service showed a film on choosing sexual decisions and the consequences of it as well. Well, I feel it gave guys a bad name cause the guy denied he had anything to do with it when the girl became pregnant because not all guys are like that...who ask for sex...etc...but then....if the storyline was not like that....the story would not be interesting I guess...(tension, drama, emotions)

In the show, they also showed what Abortion truly was! It's not a pretty sight and is fairly gruesome...(never put yourself and your girlfriend through this stupid shit)! Not to mention the Physical and Emotional Impact...Well...the show had a happy ending where they sorted it out...having the baby, getting married and the parents helping them to take care if it while they finish school...

After that, we went for dinner at GWC and then went home.

On Sunday, went for gear as usual at 9.30pm. Ended at 10.30 and went down for the main service. The speech was on "whether church is responsible for social concerns". After service, some stayed back for EE class and then after EE class, Lunch was provided because that sunday was special as there was a classical pentecostal service after the main service. Ate finish lunch with nicholas and then we took the train home. Alex, Ziyang and Jeremy went to Far East...
Alex and Jeremy went there for lunch and Ziyang tagged along to look at girls? haha dunno...

Oh, and Phebe's gonna go back to Study overseas....We're gonna miss her....but she will be back...:D

More flag selling and things that happened these few days...

Last saturday the 12th of August, we participated in selling flags for C.I.P points once again. This time, the donations went to the St.Johns Ambulance Brigade. We had to gather in the school hall by 7am. I dragged myself out of bed...lol...(was tired)

When I reached there, it was nearly 7 already. We were briefed about where and what not to do, given the containers and the sticker flags. We set off only at 8am+ because they waited for the latecomers or those who overslept to come to school. Went with YangQin and Elphin, to Toa Payoh. We spent one hour there, eating...mainly because YangQin ordered his breakfast after I had ate finished and had to use the toilet later...(mainly was to waste time...it was supposed to end at 1.30pm)

After breakfast, we made our way to orchard road as I was determined not to compromise by beliefs and integrity that I did infact, put in effort to help raise funds for them, instead of putting in some coins and be satisfied with that. Elphin and YangQin however, were reluctant to go collect, so I went on my own. I walked down from orchard to somerset and finally found a spot opposite "Orchard Point" which was near a bank. So, strategically, it was quite good as the flow of people there was quite constant and there were not any other people from other schools at that spot as well.

Spent about 2 and a half hours there...weather was quite warm. At 12.30pm, I made my way back to School. My efforts paid off as some of them who did not manage to collect the expected weight of the container to be filled up, had to spend more time to collect more money. (They were expecting a quarter full and reaching $20)

Went to church after that, as my mom allowed me to skip chinese tuition that day as she knew I would most likely be tired. Josiah was playing fifa05 on his laptop and we soon took turns to play one half..haha... Had a short ushers meeting at 4.30pm...
The youth service started at 5pm and after the singing of songs, split up into our groups for bible study. Sort of had fun that day...we ate dinner in church...wasn't bad at all..:D

These few days, Mr Heng has been harping on us of their expectations of us sec3 cca leaders as well. Well, although nobody likes to hear nagging...it was good as it reminded us that we were in charge now and we had to STEP UP. Setting a good example for the Sec1s etc...

Well, it is not easy to teach Sec1s as they are usually restless and unattentive but I hope that we can bring the band to better heights as we set our goals for next years SYF. But, more importantly, the experience and the journey towards the SYF will be more important and of more value to us.

Week of destress

Last week...we had our common test week. Today was my last paper, Biology...found it quite easy! :D This week, most of us have no cca cause of NDP. haha... Was looking forward to going for cell because I'm usually busy on mondays...Get well soon Qiaolin and Lionel! Tomorrow gonna be released at 10am. Think I'm gonna get a haircut...wonder if the youths are going for the "the day of his power" event at night... Yea...thats all for today...Bye
