Back From World Music Contest
Hi again, back on 4th August 2005 from Paris after participating in the World Music Contest. We stayed at College Rolduc during the time we were in Kerkrade. We mostly ate ham with bread or cereal for breakfast. They were accompanied with milk or orange juice for drinks. Lunch was also the same as we ate ham and bread as well. As the days passed, cup noodles was soon included in lunch. Drinks were Mineral water, milk. Dinner was more on the Chinese Cuisine as we ate rice, vegetables and meat. There were also desserts, for example pudding. On the day of our performance which was the 31st of July, we performed and got a silver medal, 1.2 marks away from a gold medal. We were disappointed but put it behind us as we concentrated on the closing ceremony that we were invited to play at night. We reflected on what went wrong and during the closing ceremony, we put up a great performance and the audience enjoyed it very much. The day after, we packed our luggage, boarded the bus and headed for Paris. We stopped in Brussels for Lunch and were back on the road. I bought a painting of two tiger cubs there. The trip lasted about six hours before we reached the Novotel Hotel in Paris and chekced in. The next few days were mainly sightseeing the famous sites of Paris and after two days of enjoyment, we took the flight back to Amsterdam, before taking the flight back to Singapore. Overall, It was a memorable experience and I would like to go again in the next four years to participate in the World Music Contest once more.
